June – the middle of the year!
Have we undertaken our New Year Resolutions? Is it merely the end of the financial year? Is it a benchmark to think about the remainder of the year?
Whatever it maybe, June seems to be a turning point for many people & businesses.
The birthstone for June, however, is a cool and calming tone – in colour and texture.
So, I asked Australian Wandarrah teamies what items they had in their shop to reflect the colours of the June birthstone ….
Maryann from gojjell makes one of a kind jewellery pieces and art works that bring joy to their owners, and these earrings feature the June birthstone… Pearl = freshwater baroque pearls on rhinestone surgical steel posts.
Jules from JulesReadJewellery makes a wide rang of personalised jewellery as well as birthstone earrings such as these Moon stone earrings which are contemporary, elegant & unique with a 3mm bezel set stone. Jules is also happy to make jewellery with another stone upon request.
Katrina from BygoneAllure has a piece of stunning pearlescence with this new listing for a Vintage Mother of Pearl Heart Necklace (43 Hearts in total) – how pearl birthstone overload is that!!
Debbie from AberrantGinger makes some amazing jewellery and chose her matching chainmaille earrings, bracelet and necklace to respond to this theme. All made in lightweight aluminium and beautiful gemstones, this jewellery can be purchased individually or all three would make a stunning set!
The above are all jewellery products (yes, i am a jewellery junkie) – the next two listings are not jewellery, but are stretching the birthstone theme by using the “blue” moon theme – but that’s OK coz the Australian Wandarrah team loves creativity and versatility!!
MAIDENSKINS makes leather journals, pouches, notebooks and bags, and offered this coin purse made from soft New Zealand leather with an ombre blue and white print as appropriate fro this post post because it is named ‘Once in a Blue Moon’ as it is a limited edition print she created.
Meg from TigsTogs suggested her Peter Pan collar / bib necklace made from vintage Crystal yarn fitted the moonstone brief….”Is this the moonstone colour?” Meg asked Well, I reckon its fantastic to have a broad interpretation of the theme …. so blue because of the blue moon, but also Meg thinks the yarn has a certain “glow” about it – check it out for yourself!!
Hope you enjoyed the June birthstone post…. stay tuned for the July birthstone post 🙂
