November Birthstone: Citrine and Topaz

November birthdays are associated with two gems; Citrine and Topaz. The warm colour of Citrine is said to be a gift from the sun and it’s believed to be a healing gemstone. Topaz is most desired in its rich orange Imperial Topaz colour but it is found in a variety of rich colours like blue, pink and yellow.

I asked the Australian Wandarrah Team shops if they have items in their shops that could be given as gifts for November birthdays, and here’s what they had to say:

The simple styling coupled with the bright yellow faceted citrine gems make this bracelet an absolute standout which can easily slip from elegant evening wear to casual weekend BBQ

I LOVE this colour combo – it was made for a girl who didn’t like pink and specifically said ‘no pink’ 🙂 I love how this turned out … Nice, bright, cheery, choice!

I believe this fabric basket would match the colours of both gems. I love it because its colours brighten every room. I think it would be great in kids’ room, just warming it up.

These colourful tea light candle holders would glow like gemstones inside or outside over summer. The crocheted sets of jar cosies consist of one blue, one peach and one lime green cosy. Citronella candles to match are available in supermarkets. I designed the pattern and crocheted them from a yarn which uses 50% upcycled cotton in its blend.

We fossick all of our topaz in a beautiful wild place called Mt Surprise. Draw a line from Cairns straight across Cape York and Mt Surprise is smack bang in the middle. This topaz really shows off Phillip’s cutting skill with a super special pattern called the “PomPom” cut.
I’ve just added variations to this listing to allow customers to choose their alloy.

This jewel colored digital print helps me to remember that Mary and Jesus weren’t ‘white’.
